FLORA SIMONIS Landscaping has been involved in the landscaping and gardening industry since 2002. We started off on a Free State farm planting medicinal herbs, but landscaping remained the backbone of this business.
From countless hours of gardening courses and manual gardening, Flora Simonis gleaned the knowledge and developed a professional landscaping service. We carefully plan and schedule our work in order to meet timely project demands, thus providing satisfaction regarding the end product.
Currently based in Clanwilliam, Western Cape, we provide our services mainly to this region.

Our mission is to transform the customer’s outside environment, tailoring the look and style to their specific needs. Strict landscaping standards are met. We carefully plan and schedule our work in order to meet timely project demands thus ensuring satisfaction.

The home is where the heart is and the garden completes the home. Delightful scents and beautiful sights should welcome you back long before you open your front door. We believe the garden should be an extension of your home, and all members of the family must be considered, even the pets!
Landscaping and Garden Development
FLORA SIMONIS provides landscaping and garden development services mainly to the Western Cape, but planning and design can be provided to a wider region. We also give maintenance plans for our designed gardens, promoting knowledge to garden workers.
PLANNING
During the first visit to the site, all aspects of the garden are discussed, and notes are taken of client preferences. A quote for design is sent to the customer, and on acceptance the survey of the area is done. Thereafter, depending on the size of the garden, hand-drawn scale plans are done on a scale of no more than 1:200. A list of suitable plants in the preferred colour scheme, and a list of possibilities regarding the hard landscaping accompany the scale drawing. A3 visualizations of the implemented garden are drawn on request.
IMPLEMENTATION
Once plans, plant lists and quotes have been approved, implementation takes place. The areas to be landscaped are prepared and weeds removed, and grasses are sprayed at least twice to prevent further growth. All hard landscaping is completed before compost can be dug in and planting commends. Plants are sourced from a wide range of nurseries to ensure good quality at the best prices. Pathways, irrigation, firepits, lighting, water features and steel constructions are outsourced to local contractors that specialize in these fields, under the supervision of Flora Simonis to ensure the best possible outcome.
MAINTENANCE
Flora Simonis maintains the design of the garden by giving advice on a monthly basis concerning everything from plant health and gardening techniques to gardening products. We also provide a checklist of weekly tasks for your garden.
